Kilsyth is a North Lanarkshire town on the A803, at the foot of the Kilsyth Hills between Falkirk and Kirkintilloch. Its centre is older and stone-built, with housing estates around it and farms and rural properties on the hillside beyond.

It is also one of the nearer towns to our yard in Airth — a short run along the M80. We put up scaffolding here for roofing, repairs, extensions and new builds, for private customers and trade professionals alike.

Common jobs

What we scaffold in Kilsyth

An older stone-built town centre, estates of family homes around it and rural properties on the hills. Sloping and uneven ground is common, and we design the base to suit.

  • Roofs on sloping sites

A base designed for ground that falls away from the house, so the platform stays level.

  • Rural properties

Access to houses away from the town, where the ground is often soft or uneven.

  • Town-centre repairs

Scaffolding on the older stone buildings in the centre, with the pavement kept open.

Get in touch
  • Do I need a permit for scaffolding on the pavement in Kilsyth?

If any part of the scaffold has to stand on a public road or pavement, yes. In Kilsyth the roads authority is North Lanarkshire Council, and under the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 scaffolding on a public road needs its permission. A scaffold that stands entirely within your own boundary doesn’t. Mention it when you enquire so it can be allowed for in the programme.

  • How much does scaffolding cost in Kilsyth?

There is no standard price. It depends on the height and length of the scaffold, how long it needs to stand and how easy the property is to reach. Tell us what you’re having done and we’ll come back with a clear, competitive price with no hidden costs, arranging a site visit if one is needed.

  • Can you put scaffolding up on sloping ground?

Yes. Uneven and sloping ground is common around Kilsyth. We design the base of the scaffold to suit it, and for anything unusual our specialist design service covers bespoke solutions.

  • How soon can you put up scaffolding in Kilsyth?

It depends on the job and how busy we are, so the best thing is to ask. We travel to Kilsyth from our yard in Airth via the M876 and M80. Tell us in the enquiry form whether the work is urgent or planned for the coming weeks, and we’ll confirm what we can do.

  • Do you cover Croy, Queenzieburn, Banknock and Cumbernauld?

Yes. As well as Kilsyth, we cover Croy, Queenzieburn, Banknock and Cumbernauld and the surrounding area. If you’re not sure whether we cover your location, get in touch — we may still be able to help.
