General questions
-
What services do you offer?
We offer a full range of scaffolding solutions across Scotland, including domestic and commercial scaffolding, scaffolding design and installation, temporary roof structures, and regular inspections. We also provide haulage and Hiab hire for lifting and transporting materials, giving you a complete service from start to finish.
-
Do you work on both small and large projects?
Yes. Whether it’s scaffolding for a small home renovation or a large-scale commercial development, we have the experience, equipment, and skilled team to deliver a safe and reliable solution tailored to your needs.
-
How do you ensure safety on-site?
Safety is our top priority. All scaffolding is designed and erected to meet current UK safety regulations, including SG4, TG20, and Working at Height standards. Our qualified team also carries out regular inspections and provides health and safety reports to ensure full compliance throughout your project.
-
Do you provide scaffolding inspections?
Yes. We offer both scheduled and one-off inspections to ensure your scaffolding remains secure, compliant, and fit for purpose during the entire project. This gives you peace of mind that your site is always safe.
-
Can you supply temporary roofs?
Absolutely. Our team designs and installs temporary roof structures to protect your site from the elements. This is especially useful during roof works or when weather could otherwise cause delays.

Scaffolding at home
-
How much does domestic scaffolding cost?
There is no standard price. What it costs depends on the height and length of the scaffold, how long it needs to stand, and how easy the property is to reach. Tell us what you’re having done when you get in touch and we’ll come back to you with a clear, competitive price — no hidden costs.
-
How long can the scaffolding stay up?
For as long as the work needs it. While it stands we inspect it at handover and at least every seven days, with extra checks after high winds, so it stays safe if your programme runs on. Let us know the dates you expect to be working when you enquire, so the scaffold can be planned around them.
-
Does scaffolding on the pavement need a licence?
If any part of the scaffold has to stand on a public footpath or road, the local authority has to license it before it goes up. Mention it when you enquire so it can be allowed for in the programme.
-
Will the scaffold damage my driveway or garden?
Scaffolding spreads its load through base plates and sole boards, so the weight is carried across paving, monobloc or grass rather than concentrated in one spot. Where a property is awkward — a conservatory, a bay window, uneven ground or a narrow lane — we design the base and the ties to suit it.
Inspections & reports
-
How often does scaffolding need to be inspected?
Under the Work at Height Regulations, a scaffold has to be inspected after it is put up and before it is first used, at intervals of no more than seven days while it stands, and after anything that could affect its stability — such as high winds. We carry out all three: weekly inspections, post-weather checks and one-off evaluations.
-
Do you inspect scaffolding put up by other companies?
Yes. Whether it’s a structure we’ve installed or one from a third-party provider, we carry out thorough checks in line with current legislation and best practice.
-
What do I get after an inspection?
A clear, comprehensive report of our findings, with professional recommendations for any corrective action required. Detailed reports and risk assessments are provided as standard.
Haulage & Hiab hire
-
What is a Hiab?
A Hiab is a lorry with its own crane mounted on it, so a load can be lifted on and off the back without separate lifting equipment. Hiab is a brand name, but it has become the everyday word for a lorry-mounted crane.
-
Do you supply an operator?
Yes. Our operators are fully qualified, and every lift is carried out under strict safety protocols.
-
How much can you lift?
It depends on the weight and size of the load and how far it has to reach. Tell us what needs lifting — roughly what it weighs, its size and where it’s going — and we’ll confirm what the job needs.
-
Do you offer one-off hires?
Yes. Whether you need ongoing support or a single lift or delivery, we tailor the hire to your project.
